The Bendix Eagle Run : Avon High School, May 23, 2026
The Bendix Eagle Run is the 24th annual edition of a community road race held at Avon High School, 37545 Detroit Road, Avon, OH 44011. The event raises funds for the Avon Schools Educational Endowment Fund, the French Creek Family YMCA and other local charities.
The event includes the following distances:
- 5 mile
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 mile Kids Fun Run (open to ages 13 and under)
Registration is offered in several windows with different fees and shirt availability: an early bird period with reduced fees and a pre-registration period through May 17, followed by higher fees from May 18 through race day. Mailed entries must be received by May 20, 2026. Early packet pickup is scheduled for the day before the race at the Performing Arts Center at Avon High School, and race day packet pickup is at the Auxiliary Gymnasium in the back of the school.
Awards and participant services are provided. Medals are awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers and to the top three males and females in age divisions from 14 and under through 80 and over. The first 1000 paid adult entrants receive a long sleeve T shirt subject to availability; kids receive a short sleeve shirt. The event also offers sports massages and post race pizza, fruit, cookies and beverages. Entries are non refundable and not transferable.
