Event overview
NIGHT DESCENT 32 Ultra is an overnight, multi-stage running challenge taking place on 14 November 2026. The event is organised by Mad Running Junkies and is based at Bridgend Miniature Railway, Fountain Road, Aberkenfig, Tondu, Bridgend, CF32 9BZ. The total planned distance is 32 miles split into four stages. The minimum age to enter is 18.
Entries open 12 October 2025 and close 13 November 2026. Entry fee options listed are £55 for entry only and £79 for entry plus a t-shirt. The event offers an option to purchase XCover for possible refunds under certain circumstances.
Format, gear and logistics
The event is staged as four progressively longer night runs. Runners must meet time cutoffs at the end of each of the first three stages to continue to the next stage. Mandatory gear items include a headlamp, reflective gear, and a hydration system. Aid stations are provided at each stage turnaround offering water, electrolytes, fuel, coffee, and snacks. Parking is available, gear drop is allowed at base camp, and restrooms are provided.
