Durban International Marathon : 42km and 10km
The event stages road races along a measured route that finishes at Moses Mabhida Stadium People’s Tunnel and starts at Prospecton Road. The programme includes multiple distances:

Entry for the marathon is restricted to licensed athletes; a temporary licence fee applies only to elite or international entrants. Online registration opens in September 2026 and is organised in three phases, with online entries closing on 18 April 2027. Entry fees vary by phase and by local or international status; an early-bird tier and late online entry fee are specified. Athletes who enter early receive a T-shirt at registration; late entries do not receive a T-shirt at registration.
A cutoff time of six hours applies to the 42.2 km race. Shuttle transport to the start area is offered for a fee of R120 per person, with a designated pickup point at Kings Park Swimming Pool. Race-day information includes route and GPS data and is published by the organisers. Manual entries can be made in person at Pick n Pay stores, and online entry platforms are used for electronic registration.
