Event Overview
The inaugural Durango Marathon takes place in October in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado. This road racing event offers participants a choice of three paved distances that showcase the autumn foliage and high-country scenery of the region:
- Marathon (26.2 miles)
- Half Marathon
- 5k
The course is designed to wind through and around Durango, utilizing wide road shoulders with minimal closures to ensure a smooth route. The start and finish areas are located near the historic downtown district and the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad Station.
