Dunstable Road Runners 5 mile Race

The Dunstable Road Runners 5 mile Race takes place at Creasey Park Community Football Centre, Creasey Park Drive, Dunstable LU6 1BB. The event is organised under UK Athletics rules with race permit ref. 29726 and holds a UKA Course Measurement Accuracy Certificate, course number 24/517. It also incorporates the Beds AAA County Championship 5 mile event for 2026.

The course is measured and marked, and it runs mainly on roads and pavements with temporary road closures on some sections and managed road crossings. Race timing uses a race bib and chip, with online results published shortly after finishing. A 90 minute cut off time applies because of the temporary road closures.

Facilities at the event include toilets, changing facilities, supervised baggage, car parking and hot and cold refreshments for purchase. There is a drinks station on the course and at the finish, and medical provision is available. Finishers receive a medal; trophies are awarded to the first three male and female finishers and to winners of veteran age categories. All net proceeds after costs are for the Alzheimer’s Society. Entry is limited to 350 places; entries may be accepted on the day if the limit has not been reached. Entrants must be aged 16 or over on race day. Eligibility for the Beds AAA County Championship requires being born in Bedfordshire or resident in Bedfordshire for the nine months prior to the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
