Event overview

The Dunstable Road Runners 5-mile race takes place on 19 April 2026 at Creasey Park Community Football Centre, Creasey Park Drive, Dunstable LU6 1BB. The event is run under UK Athletics rules (race permit ref. 29726) and the course holds a UKA Course Measurement Accuracy Certificate (course number 24/517). The race incorporates the Beds AAA County Championship 5-mile event for 2026; to be eligible for the county championship competitors must have been born in Bedfordshire or resident in Bedfordshire for the nine months prior to the event.

Course, entries and rules

The measured route uses roads and pavements and includes temporary road closures on some roads and crossings. A cut-off time of 90 minutes applies due to the temporary road closures. Entrants must be at least 16 years old on race day. Race entry is limited to 350 and entries on the day are accepted only while the limit has not been reached.

Services and awards

The event provides race bibs with chip timing and online results shortly after finishing. Facilities at the event venue include toilets, changing rooms and car parking. Other provisions listed are supervised baggage, drinks stations on course and at the finish, medical cover, finishers medals, and trophies for the first three male and female finishers and for age-category winners. Proceeds after costs are stated to go to the Alzheimer’s Society. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
