Dunstable Road Runners 5 mile Race
The Dunstable Road Runners 5 mile Race takes place on Sunday 19 April 2026 at Creasey Park Community Football Centre, Creasey Park Drive, Dunstable LU6 1BB. The event is organised under UK Athletics rules with race permit reference 29726 and holds a UKA Course Measurement Accuracy Certificate, course number 24/517. It also incorporates the Beds AAA County Championship 5 mile event for 2026; eligibility for the county championship requires being born in Bedfordshire or resident in Bedfordshire for the nine months prior to the event.
Organisers apply a 90 minute time limit because of temporary road closures. The race uses chip timing with race bibs and online results published shortly after finishing. The measured course runs on roads and pavements, includes some temporary road closures and crossings, and is signed and marshalled. There is a drinks station on course and at the finish, plus medical provision.
Facilities at the event headquarters include toilets, changing facilities and car parking, a supervised baggage area, and hot and cold refreshments for purchase. Finishers receive a medal and trophies are awarded to the first three male and female finishers and to age category winners. Race entry is limited to 350, entries may be accepted on the day subject to that limit, and entrants must be at least 16 years old on race day.
