Dublin Simon Community Home Run 5K "Run & Family Day Out" 2026
The event takes place on Saturday, 3rd October 2026 in Phoenix Park, Dublin. It is organised as a five-kilometre loop and is presented as a community fundraising event for Dublin Simon Community.
The 5-kilometre loop is open to all ages and abilities. Past participants have included schools, walking groups, wheelchair users, families with buggies, and elite runners. Family and friends are encouraged to support participants along the route.
Fundraising is a central part of the event. Participants who raise at least €50 receive a limited-edition Home Run T-shirt, and a €100 fundraising target is suggested. All donations are directed to Dublin Simon Community to support essential life-saving services.
The Home Run has been held since 1983 and has raised funds for the charity’s work across emergency response, wraparound services and long-term housing solutions. There are options for workplace involvement; a free Register Interest for Corporate Sponsorship option is available and corporate partnership materials are provided by the organiser.
