Irish Life Dublin Half Marathon : Phoenix Park, Sunday 20 September
The Irish Life Dublin Half Marathon takes place in Phoenix Park. The event follows a mapped route through the park and nearby city streets. Participants receive a race number posted about ten days before the event; the timing chip arrives attached to the number and must remain in place for an official time. Replacing a lost number incurs a fee.
A baggage label is printed on the race number for use at the baggage area, where items are stored at the entrant's own risk. Toilets are provided close to the start area. For safety reasons, buggies are not permitted in the race.
A transfer window opens on 22 July and closes on 23 August. Transfers are managed through Eventmaster, carry a €5 fee payable by the person receiving the entry, and only one transfer per ticket is allowed. Entries cannot be transferred to the following year or to other Marathon Series events. Selling or attempting to swap numbers outside the transfer window will lead to cancellation of the entry.
There will be shuttle buses on race day morning and return buses after the race to Parkgate Street. There is no parking in Phoenix Park on race day; a bike park is provided close to the start area. Pacers will lead groups to a range of target finish times. The course cut-off time is 3 hours 15 minutes.
Finishers receive a medal, a race t shirt and a goodie bag; the t shirt cannot be replaced. Runners are asked to use bins at water stations to protect Phoenix Park and its wildlife. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
