Dublin Half Marathon
The Dublin Half Marathon runs through Phoenix Park and parts of Dublin city, following a course that combines flat sections with climbs and passes recognisable streets and landmarks. Directions to the start area are signposted and toilets are provided close to the start area.
Race numbers with the timing chip attached are posted about 10 days before the event; the chip must remain attached to the race number for a recorded time. A baggage label is printed at the bottom of the race number and should be attached to any bag left in the baggage area; deposited items are left at the owner's risk and valuables should not be left there. Pins are available at the start for attaching numbers.
For safety, buggies are not permitted in the event. Participants are asked to use the bins at water stations for bottles and gel wrappers to help protect Phoenix Park and its wildlife. A bike park will be provided close to the start area for those who arrive by bicycle.
Shuttle buses operate on race morning between Parkgate Street and the Phoenix Monument to transport runners to and from the event. Pacers are available for a range of target finish times, and the official cut-off time for the half is 3 hours 15 minutes. Finishers receive a medal, race t-shirt, and a goodie bag at the finish; the t-shirt cannot be replaced. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
