About the race
The Dryland Traverse is a four-day stage trail run held outside Oudtshoorn that follows classic routes in the Klein Karoo. The event includes an underground start inside the Cango Caves and stages that traverse the Swartberg Mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Runners and walkers pass viewpoints over the Great and Klein Karoo and sections of trail that run past the Raubenheimer Dam. The event is organised as a stage race over multiple days with generous cut-off times, marked routes and on-course support.
