Drumheller Wild Rose Women's Triathlon
The Drumheller Wild Rose Women's Triathlon takes place on May 30, 2027 at the Drumheller Aquaplex, 100 Riverside Dr W, Drumheller. The event offers multiple race formats:
- Sprint: 750m swim - 19.5km bike - 5km run
- Super Sprint: 300m swim - 10km bike - 2.5km run
- Team Sprint: 750m swim - 19.5km bike - 5km run
The swim is a pool swim with a continuous flow of athletes into lanes; starters line up by estimated swim time. Swim cutoffs are 30 minutes for the Sprint and 15 minutes for the Super Sprint. After the swim athletes run about 50 m barefoot to transition.
The bike course is one loop per distance listed and remains open to traffic. Safety rules include staying to the far right, never crossing the yellow centre line, and keeping 10 m behind other riders to avoid drafting. E bikes are allowed. There are no aid stations on the bike course.
The run course uses pathways, roads and sidewalks. There is an aid station at the Sprint turnaround. Elevation gain is listed as 52 m for the bike and 11 m for the run.
Event services and notes: chip timing with official results, race bib, silicone swim cap with extras available, finisher medal, on site bike support and post race food including a chocolate fondue. Minimum age is 10 years. Headphones and personal music devices are not permitted. Registration policy states there are no refunds, with a rollover option to 2028 or to the Calgary event for a 50 USD fee before May 1, 2027, and transfers to another racer for a 20 USD fee.
