Indoor Team Triathlon in Oak Brook
The Dream Team Dri Tri is an indoor multi-sport event hosted by the Oak Brook Park District. This competition is designed for participants aged 12 and older and is open to all skill levels. The event takes place at the Family Recreation Center facility located at 1450 Forest Gate Road.
Participants compete in teams of two, which can be same-gender or mixed-gender. The race structure requires teammates to alternate at specific intervals throughout three distinct segments:
- 3000 meter row on Concept 2 Rowers, with teammates switching every 500 meters.
- 3.0 mile cycle on Air Assault bikes, with teammates switching every 0.5 miles.
- 1.5 mile run or walk consisting of 12 laps on an indoor track, with teammates switching every lap.
The event is organized into heats of six teams each, with new heats starting every 30 minutes. Team heat assignments are provided via confirmation email one week before the race. Participants are required to wear appropriate athletic attire and shoes. A grand prize is awarded to the team that secures first place.
