Dream Big Run Walk Roll 5K

The 10th annual Dream Big 5K is a charity event that supports EDD Adaptive Sports programs. These initiatives provide sports opportunities for individuals with disabilities within the community. The event is a hybrid competition, offering both in-person participation and virtual race options for those who cannot attend at the physical location.

The in-person event takes place in Essex, Vermont, with the start and finish located at Essex Middle School on Founders Road. The 5 km course is USATF-certified and features an out-and-back route that travels through local neighborhoods. The terrain is designed to be accessible for wheelchairs and strollers.

Participants can choose from several categories and distances to accommodate different needs and preferences:

  • 5 km Run, Adaptive Run, or Adaptive Roll
  • 1 km Run, Adaptive Run, or Adaptive Roll

Registration is open to participants of all ages and abilities. The event includes distinct divisions such as general, adaptive standing, and adaptive sitting categories. In addition to individual participation, there is an option to form teams for group competition. The organization aims to raise funds specifically for adaptive sports programming through registration fees and donations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
