DRC Smokin' 5K

The Smokin' 5K takes place in Derby, KS as part of the Smoke on the Plains BBQ Festival. The course is USATF certified, with the start and finish located in High Park and the route running through city streets of Derby.

The event is a 5K running race. Awards are presented to the overall female and overall male finishers, and 1st place age group awards are given for female and male runners. Finisher medals are awarded to everyone who crosses the finish line. Age groups include 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus. The first 50 registered entrants are entered into a raffle to win a fire pit. Participants receive a race shirt.

Packet pick up is scheduled for the day before the race at the Derby Recreation Center, 801 E Market, Derby, KS. Race registration has a fee of $30. Registration is non-refundable and non-transferable. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
