58th Annual Drake Road Races
The Drake Road Races take place in Des Moines, Iowa, serving as a traditional lead-up to the Drake Relays. This annual event features several distance options for participants, with routes that travel through historic Des Moines neighborhoods. All in-person races reach their conclusion on the Blue Oval track inside Drake Stadium.
The event offers the following race distances:
- Half Marathon
- 10k
- 5k
In addition to the in-person competitions, participants may choose to participate in Virtual Half Marathon, Virtual 10k, or Virtual 5k options. Those who wish to complete multiple events can participate in the Bulldog Double, which bundles a Drake Road Race event with the Grand Blue Mile held on a separate date.
The event includes a Health and Fitness Expo for packet pickup and offers a referral program for participants. An awards program is also established for the various categories.
