Dragon Trails Triathlon (Sprint)
The Dragon Trails Triathlon is the third annual sprint triathlon held in Lake Orion, Michigan, at 1301 Clarkston Road. The event offers individual and relay sprint formats over open water swim, mixed-terrain bike, and trail run legs. Registration opens 21 October 2025. Individual registration closes 12 August 2026 with a fee of $100. Relay registration closes 12 September 2026 with a fee of $180. Registration is capped at 100 participants.
Course details:
- 0.75 km (0.46 mi) swim in Tommy's Lake
- 20 km (12.4 mi) mixed-terrain bike through Bald Mountain, Polly Ann Trail, and Orion Oaks County Park
- 5 km (3.1 mi) run on forested trails at Camp Agawam
All registrants receive a swim cap, event shirt, pre-run fuel options, on-course nutrition, and a drink ticket redeemable in the event's Dragons Lair. Maps from the 2025 race are provided; 2026 course maps are pending.
