Dragon Fly Triathlon & AquaBike : July 25, 2026
Dragon Fly Triathlon & AquaBike is a multisport event held at Cypress Point on the Lower Lake at Sardis Lake Reservoir in Sardis, Mississippi. The event includes Sprint and Olympic triathlon options, aquabike races, relay entries, divisions for Athena and Clydesdale, and a physically challenged category.
Distances offered include:
- Olympic: 1500 m swim, 40 km bike, 10 km run
- Sprint: 750 m swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run
The swim takes place from a sandy beach entry and exit at the lake. The bike course passes through farmland and is described as flat. The run combines pavement for about two miles with trail sections.
The event will host the Mississippi Age Group and High School State Championships. State championship results will qualify athletes for Age Group Nationals by placing in the top 35 percent or top five finishers in an age group, whichever is greater. High school athletes who finish a State High School Championship and are at least 15 years old on December 31, 2026 will qualify automatically for Sprint-distance nationals. Club awards use cross-country style scoring with lowest score winning; participation awards are also given.
Finishers receive medals. Post-race food includes pizza, watermelon, chips and Prairie Farms ice cream. Packet pickup occurs on the days prior to and the morning of the event at listed locations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
