2026 DPF 5K RUN/WALK
The Dee Pogue Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that runs a youth led, youth driven mentorship program focused on S.T.E.M. education. The program serves young African American boys ages 8 to 12 and uses a five-tier approach to develop adolescent boys into positive thinking young men. The foundation reports a 100% high school to college transition rate for students who complete the program.
The 6th annual DPF 5K RUN/WALK takes place in Anniston, Alabama, with a USATF certified 5K course that surrounds Zinn Park at 101 W. 14th Street. The course is described as flat and follows streets and park pathways in downtown Anniston.
A portion of the event proceeds is allocated to male high school seniors in Calhoun County, Alabama, to assist with college expenses. Race materials note that bibs must be visible between the neck and waist for chip reading and photo identification.
