Downingtown Good Neighbor Day - Firetrucks and Fireworks 2026
The event takes place on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at Kerr Park, 1 Park Lane, Downingtown, PA 19335. It benefits volunteer fire, ambulance and rescue squads within the Downingtown Area School District. The donation goal is $100,000. Proceeds are distributed to Alert Fire Company, Minquas Fire and EMS, Uwchlan Ambulance, East Brandywine Fire Company, Lionville Fire Company, Glenmoore Fire Company and West Bradford Fire Company. The day includes food vendors, about 80-100 craft exhibitors and a fireworks grand finale at dusk. Approximately 1,500 athletes participate each year.

Other events include Krapf’s Canoe/Kayak Brandywine River Challenge, Cornhole Madness, GND Kid's K and the Big Wheel Race (kid only). Entry fees listed on the event page vary by event; the Kids K and Big Wheel Race are free. Registered runners and walkers receive GND T-shirts. The Run for Life races award $50 to the top male and female and give medals to the first three male and female finishers in each category. Age groups are listed from 7 & under up through 80+. Bib and T-shirt pick-up is at the gazebo in Kerr Park on July 3 and July 4. Entry fees are non-refundable. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
