Downingtown Good Neighbor Day - Firetrucks and Fireworks 2026
The event takes place on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at Kerr Park in Downingtown, Pennsylvania. It is a day-long community festival that benefits the fire and rescue squads within the Downingtown Area School District. The event typically draws about 1,500 athletes and features food, roughly 80-100 craft exhibitors, multiple activity areas, and a fireworks finale at dusk. Proceeds support Alert Fire Company, Minquas Fire and EMS, Uwchlan Ambulance, East Brandywine Fire Company, Lionville Fire Company, Glenmoore Fire Company, and West Bradford Fire Company.

Additional events include Krapf’s Canoe/Kayak Brandywine River Challenge, Cornhole Madness, GND Kid's K, and a Big Wheel Race for children. Entry fees listed by the organizer: $30 for the runs and 5K walk, $20 for the canoe/kayak challenge, $50 for Cornhole Madness, and no fee for the Kid's K and Big Wheel Race. Registered runners and walkers receive GND T-shirts. Race awards include $50 to the top male and female, medals for the first three male and female finishers in each category, and medals and T-shirts for Kid's K entrants.
