Down Syndrome Festival & 5K
The DSACO Festival & 5K takes place on September 26, 2026 at the Myriad Botanical Gardens in Oklahoma City, OK. The event combines running and walking opportunities with a family-friendly festival on the Great Lawn.

- Awareness Walk
Festival activities include raffles, inflatables, face painters, carnival games, music, talent shows, cotton candy, food trucks, and resource vendors. The event also supports team fundraising: participants may form teams to raise money and awareness for people with Down syndrome. The start line is on Sheridan Avenue and complimentary parking is available in the lots directly south of the Myriad Botanical Gardens, accessed on Reno Avenue.
Proceeds remain in central Oklahoma to fund DSACO programs and services. Programs supported include enrichment lab and free tutoring, microwave-based cooking classes for teens and adults, new parent resources and breakfasts, parent-to-parent support meetings, workshops for parents and educators, scholarships for families to attend national conventions, education and medical outreach initiatives, and family and teen/adult events and programs.
