Douwe Kleefstraloop

The Douwe Kleefstraloop is a recreational running event held in Leeuwarden, featuring multiple distances including a 1 km kids' run, as well as 2 km, 5 km, 10 km, and 16.1 km (10 English miles) races. The event starts at the Lionitas athletics track, with routes that take participants through scenic areas like Goutum and Zuidlanden. All finishers receive a warm cup of hot chocolate, and electronic timing is provided via chip in the race number.

Participants can also join the Gouden Leeuw series, which includes additional races, and compete for prizes in the Youth Winter Competition. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
