Douwe Kleefstraloop

The Douwe Kleefstraloop is a recreational running event held in Leeuwarden, featuring multiple distances including a 1 km kids' run, 2 km, 5 km, 10 km, and 16.1 km (10 English miles). The event starts at the Lionitas athletics track, with routes that take participants through scenic areas like Goutum and Zuidlanden. Each participant receives a warm cup of hot chocolate post-race, and electronic timing is provided via a chip in the race number.
