St. Patrick-Themed Running Event in Springfield
The Time to Paddy 5k/10k and Lucky 13.1 is an annual themed running event held at Truman Elementary School in Springfield, Missouri. This event features multiple distances to accommodate various preferences, including competitive chip-timed races and untimed options. Participants can choose from the following distances:
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- 10k (6.2 miles)
- 5k (3.1 miles)
- 1 mile
- Kid's Dash
The Kid's Dash is an untimed event specifically designed for children aged 10 and under. Participants in the standard race distances receive a custom bib, a designer shirt, and a finisher medal. The event also provides live results, awards, and free digital photos. Post-race food is available for participants after they complete their distance.
A team registration option is available for groups. Teams that reach specific participant milestones are eligible for partial registration refunds. Specifically, once a team reaches five members, a $5 refund is applied, and at ten members, a $10 refund is provided. A "Biggest Paddy" award is also presented to the largest team. Individuals who cannot attend in person may participate in a virtual race, which includes a mailed packet with a shirt and medal.
