About the race
The Doncaster CITY Half Marathon is scheduled for Sunday 30th May 2027 in Doncaster, with the event base at Doncaster Dome on Bawtry Road. The event returns to the town after a revival in 2019 following a 20-year absence; the 2020 and 2021 editions were postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic and the event format was changed for 2022. Organisers report positive feedback from runners, volunteers and the local community.
The race is presented as a half marathon that is fully UKA licensed and chip timed. The course uses closed roads and is described by the organiser as including both faster sections and more testing parts, with spectators along the route. On-course facilities noted by the organiser include lively aid stations, a support team and a large volunteer presence.
Finishers receive a medal and free event photos, and the event provision list also mentions cake at the finish. The organiser, Curly's Athletes, positions the event as community and charity focused and says it aims to inspire activity and support fundraising for causes.
Ticketing information on the date shown indicates that tickets are sold out and that ticket sales close on 27th May 2027. A waiting list was used for earlier ticketing phases and tickets were due on sale from 31st January 2027. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
