Dolphin Spotter Trail Run
The Dolphin Spotter Trail Run takes place on Sunday 27 September 2026 in Morgan Bay, Gxarha, Eastern Cape. The event uses coastal trails and finishes at the Morgan Bay Hotel.
Participants can choose from these distances:
- 35 km Trail Run
- 20 km Trail Run
- 10 km Run or Walk
- 5 km Run or Walk
Routes include cliff top views, rolling coastal trails and views of the Indian Ocean. The course is described as a Wild Coast trail with sea air and finishing facilities at the hotel.
The 35 km race carries over R6,000 in prize money. Entry benefits include a race medal and full medical support. If entered before 13 September, registrants receive a free event T-shirt while stocks last. Additional on-site services include shower facilities at the Morgan Bay Caravan Park, a toasted sarmie for 35 km finishers and food and refreshment options at the Morgan Bay Hotel.
Proceeds from the event support local initiatives including the Kei Rural Dog Project, the Morgan Bay Crèche and other community upliftment projects.
