Event
The Dolphin Dash in Long Beach is a run/walk event organized by ABWR at 5400 E Ocean Blvd. The event offers multiple distances with entry fees that range from $22.99 to $37.99 depending on distance. All finishers receive a custom finisher medal. Results are posted online within 12 to 24 hours after the event. No refunds are offered.
Course and services
Distances offered:
- 5k - out-and-back route
- 10k - two 5k loops
- 15k - three 5k loops
- Half marathon - three 4.36-mile loops
The course has water fountains and numerous restrooms along the route. Free race photos and videos are provided and posted online after the event. Drawstring goodie bags and an assortment of snacks and samples are included with registration. Running and walking with a stroller is allowed. There is a 3:15 time limit for the half marathon; participants needing more time should contact the organizer. Group discounts are available for five or more people. Participants are advised to plan for parking at the beach and to allow time to use restrooms, as facilities may not be fully stocked early.
