About the race
Dogtown Doggy Dash is the fourth annual community event in Dogtown, St. Louis, occurring on September 13, 2026 at Clayton Avenue and Tamm Avenue. The event is hosted by Dogtown Running Club and Blank Slate and presented by Garcia Properties and Instinct Pet Food.
The event offers multiple course options:
- 5K timed event for humans and dogs
- 1 Mile untimed fun run or walk for humans and dogs
Both courses are dog friendly and open to walkers. The 5K for humans is timed; the 1 Mile is untimed for humans. Registered humans receive a race shirt and a finisher keychain for the 5K and for the 1 Mile; registered dogs receive a bandana and a finisher dog tag. There are two water stops with splash zones on course, and finishers receive rewards for both humans and canines.
Awards are given to top finishers in the 5K across human and dog categories, including top three women, top three men, top three female dogs, and top three male dogs.
Post-race offerings at the finish area include Instinct Pet Food samples and a dog first aid station, doggie pools and dog friendly games, food and coffee from Sweet Em’s with a free puppy biscuit for each dog, and beer redemption for participants 21+ at Urban Chestnut Brewing Company. Packet pickup details are listed as coming soon. Complimentary parking is available in two St. Louis Zoo lots named Polar Bear and Lemur, and street parking is also available.
