2026 Doggy Dash 5k & 10k
The Doggy Dash 5k & 10k takes place March 29 at Ida Lee Recreation Center in Leesburg, VA. The event offers two distances:
- 5 km
- 10 km
The course features rolling hills and a mix of terrain: approximately 70% cross country and 30% paved. The 10 km consists of two laps of the 5 km course. Water stations are provided along the route; the 10 km has three stations at about mile markers 1.55, 3.1 and 4.65, and the 5 km has one station near mile 1.55. Gatorade is available at some stations. Port a johns are available on site.
This is a chip timed event. Runners receive a finisher medal and a technical Dri fit event shirt. T shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before March 18; extra shirts may be available afterward on a first come first served basis. Registration fees are listed with early and late pricing and increase on race morning by five dollars for each distance. Race day registration and packet pickup are available at the venue with on site check in.
Points from the event count toward the Year Long 5k and 10k Series, the Back of the Pack Series, and the Winter Series. A virtual race option is offered.
