About the race
The 2026 Lansdowne Turkey Trot is a community running event held on November 26 at the Potomac Club at Lansdowne in Lansdowne, Virginia. The event offers both in-person and virtual participation.

Points earned at this event count toward the Year-Long 5k & Back of the Pack Series and toward the Fall Series. Registration fees are listed as $15 for the 1k and $25 for the 5k.
Participants receive finisher medals for all kids and additional medals while supplies last, T-shirts for the first 500 registrants or by 11/07/2026, a race bib, and post-race snacks and drinks. The top three male and female finishers receive gift cards of $100, $75, and $50 respectively.
Proceeds support local charities including Twelve Days of Holidays, Inc. Loudoun County chapter and American Legion Post 2001. The route starts and finishes in front of the Potomac Club and follows Riverpoint Drive to Upper Belmont, passes Riverside High School, circles the conference center perimeter, runs along Charlena Beth Drive by the football field, and returns to Riverpoint for a relatively flat final stretch back to the club.
Live results are posted on Athlinks and a QR code will allow immediate access at the event; final results with series points are posted the Monday after the race. Organizers operate in most weather conditions and may delay or postpone the event if necessary. Packet pickup is available in the days before the race at the Potomac Club. Curbside and local lot parking is available; parking restrictions apply on certain roadways and school properties. A port-a-potty will be available on race day.
