Event overview
The South 32 DnD Outback Adventure Run is scheduled for April 17–18, 2026 in Julia Creek, Queensland. The event is based at the Kev Bannah Oval at the Julia Creek Combined Sporting Association building, corner of Julia and Shaw Streets. The course includes optional outback-style obstacles described as "challenge by choice" where participants may climb, crawl, or run around them. Runners can expect an average completion time of about 45 minutes per 5 km lap.
Courses and entry
Available race options:
- ~2 km Dusty Kids Obstacle Challenge (ages 5-10)
- 5 km (kids 11-13, youth 14-17, adults 18+)
- 10 km (adults 18+, two laps)
- 15 km (adults 18+, three laps)
Entry fees by event are listed in the event materials, with adult entry fees up to AUD 100. Top three overall prizes are awarded by gender in each race distance, with cash prizes specified for each placing and age group.
Race pack, facilities and rules
Race packs are issued before the event with items such as an ankle timing chip, shirt, visor, and drink bottle. Event HQ provides toilets, showers, water bubblers, a bag drop, and food and coffee vendors on the Saturday. Key participant requirements include pre-registration, visible bib number for timing, staying on the marked course, appropriate clothing and footwear, and a request not to wear headphones.
