South 32 DnD Adventure Run
The South 32 DnD Adventure Run is an obstacle-based running event held in Julia Creek, Queensland, as part of the Julia Creek Dirt n Dust Festival. The course features various outback-style obstacles designed for a "challenge by choice" experience, where participants can choose to climb, crawl, or run around the technical elements.
The event features multiple course options held over two days:
- 2 km Dusty Kids Obstacle Challenge (ages 5-10)
- 5 km Fun Run and timed event (ages 11+)
- 10 km Timed competition (two laps)
- 15 km Timed competition (three laps)
The courses start and finish at the Kev Bannah Oval at the Julia Creek Combined Sporting Association Building. The 2 km kids' route is contained in and around the oval and includes a waterhole crossing. The longer distances consist of 5 km laps, with participants in the 10 km and 15 km categories completing two and three laps respectively.
The event center provides facilities including toilets, showers, water bubblers, and a bag drop area. All timed participants receive an ankle timing chip, and race packs include a visor and a drink bottle. Participants must attend a mandatory race briefing at the event headquarters before their respective start. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
