DMACC 5K Walk/Run
The DMACC 5K Walk/Run and Kids Fun Run takes place at the DMACC Ankeny Campus, 2006 S Ankeny Blvd, Parking Lot L2, Ankeny, IA, on Saturday, September 26, 2026. The event includes a certified 5K route and a separate Kids Fun Run with short distances for younger participants.
The 5K entry fee is listed at $35 per person. Registered 5K participants receive a registrant bag, a unisex dri-fit Brooks shirt, a medal, a warm breakfast burrito and additional breakfast snacks. Prizes are awarded to the top male and top female in each of these age categories: 14 and under; 15-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70 and over. Packet pick-up is available at the Trail Point Aquatics and Wellness Center lobby (Building 5) on the DMACC Ankeny Campus or at the registration table in Parking Lot L2 before the event. Strollers and leashed, well socialized dogs are welcome and will be positioned at the back of the field.
The Kids Fun Run has an entry fee of $10 per person. All kids participants receive a medal and access to a Fun Zone activity area after the run; no shirt is provided and no advance packets are issued. Distances may vary slightly and participants may choose the distance that suits their comfort and ability. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
