DMACC 5K Walk/Run and Kids Fun Run
The DMACC 5K Walk/Run and Kids Fun Run takes place at the DMACC Ankeny Campus, Parking Lot L2, 2006 S Ankeny Blvd, Ankeny, IA on September 26, 2026. The event is open to the public and the 5K route is certified.
Race offerings and distances:
- 5K
- Ages 3-4: 50 yards
- Ages 5-7: 100 yards
Entry fees and participant items are specified for each event. The 5K registration fee is listed with tiered pricing and shirt or medal guarantees varying by registration date. The Kids Fun Run has a separate fee; medals and access to a Fun Zone are provided for participating children, and shirts are not provided for the kids run. Packet pick-up is available the day before at the Trail Point Aquatics and Wellness Center lobby, Building 5, DMACC Ankeny Campus, and also on the morning of the event at the registration table in Parking Lot L2.
Prizes will be awarded to the top male and top female in each age category, with categories spanning 14 and under through 70 and over. Strollers and well socialized, leashed dogs may join and will start at the back of the group. Distances for the kids runs may vary slightly and participants may choose the distance appropriate for their development and comfort.
