Divot Dash Fore the Cause 5K Run/Walk
The event is the third annual fun run and walk, held on October 3, 2026, at Green Oaks Golf Course, 2025 E Clark Rd, Ypsilanti, MI 48198. The main event distance is 5K on natural surfaces within the enclosed golf course.
The run serves as the primary fundraiser for a scholarship fund that provides need based aid to allow youth to join local recreation classes and leagues. Eligible children up to age 17 may receive 50% off registration fees and up to $250 in aid per child per calendar year.
The course is on an operational golf course; golfers will not be on course at the same time as participants. Runners and walkers should expect uneven terrain typical of golf courses and will pass fairways, bunkers, ponds and greens.
A2 Race Management will provide official timing. Medals are awarded to all finishers. The event is held rain or shine. Postrace activities in the finishing area include music and cider and donuts provided by Wiard's Orchard. Shirts are guaranteed for registrations received before September 20; shirts for later registrants are subject to availability.
Registration fee schedule listed for the event is: Pre August 15 $25, August 16 to September 20 $30, and after September 20 $35. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
