Dirty Secret Trail Run
Dirty Secret Trail Run takes place on May 9, 2026, in Cool, California, with the start and finish at Northside Elementary School, 860 Cave Valley Rd. The event offers two course options that use single-track trails through meadows and rolling hills and include a creek crossing.
Distances:
- 10.3 miles Long Course
- 5.8 miles Short Course
Both courses include rocky and root-strewn sections, some low tree branches, and a demanding climb out of Knickerbocker Creek, which is part of each route. The event is presented by Altra and is limited to 600 participants.
Race day provisions include a tech shirt, a custom finisher medal, and a strawberry pancake breakfast following the race. Friends may pick up a runner’s packet on behalf of that runner.
All entry fees are non-refundable and entries are non-transferable. If the course is changed or the race is cancelled due to an act of nature, there are no refunds or rollovers; the policy specifies no exceptions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
