Event Details

The Dirty Jerde 5K is scheduled for Saturday, March 7, 2026. The event takes place in Aberdeen, South Dakota, at the address 1200 S Jay St.

Supported Cause

This is the fourth annual edition of the event. Proceeds from the run support athletic scholarships for Northern State University track and field/cross country athletes. These scholarships are sponsored by the South Dakota National Guard. The stated goal of the event is to improve the student-athlete experience and build connections between alumni, family, friends, and supporters of Northern State University Athletics.

Participation Options

Participants have two ways to take part:

Dirty Jerde 5K Run: An in-person race with a registration fee of $25.
Dirty Jerde Virtual 5k: A virtual option with a registration fee of $30, which can be completed on one's own time.
