The Dirty Jerde 5k takes place on Saturday, March 7, 2026, in Aberdeen, SD 57401. This is the 4th annual running of the event. Distances offered include:

Registration for both events opens January 1, 2026. The virtual entry fee is $30 and the in-person 5K entry fee is $25.
Purpose and participation
Proceeds from the event go directly toward athletic scholarships for Northern State TF/CC athletes, sponsored by the South Dakota National Guard. The stated goals include improving the student-athlete experience and strengthening connections between alumni, family, friends, and supporters of Northern State University Athletics.
