Event

The Dirty German Endurance Fest is an urban trail ultramarathon held within Pennypack Park in Philadelphia, PA. Distances offered:

  • 50 Miler
  • 50K
  • 25K

Registration closes on Mon, May 4. Entry fees vary by date; ranges are: 25K $69–$79, 50K $79–$89, 50M $89–$99. Refunds are available until 30 days before race day; no refunds or deferrals after that.

Course and race details

The course runs along Pennypack Creek and is laid out as a figure-8 loop. One loop measures 25K. The 50K follows the loop twice. The 50 Miler includes three main loops plus an extra 1-mile dog-leg section during each loop. Surfaces include mostly single track, some flat gravel trail, short paved bike path sections, soft and occasional sandy spots. There is some elevation, with short climbs; much of the course is shaded.

A time limit of 12 hours 30 minutes applies to the 50 Miler. The park must be cleared after the event.

Amenities and awards

Participants receive a full zippered running jacket, commemorative bib, and finisher medal; ultra finishers receive an event hat. Overall male and female winners receive an authentic German cuckoo clock. Top three finishers are awarded in standard age groups.
