Different Not Less - Autism Inclusion 5k
The Different Not Less - Autism Inclusion 5k takes place at Haddad Riverfront Park in Charleston, West Virginia. This annual event is organized to support Community Autism Resources & Education Systems (CARES), a local nonprofit that provides advocacy and services for children on the autism spectrum and their families in West Virginia.
Participants can choose to walk, run, or use mobility devices to complete the course. The event features professional chip timing for competitive runners, while the route includes sensory-friendly elements such as giant bubbles at the turnaround point. The event is open to participants of all ages and abilities.

Medals are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in several age categories, ranging from 20 and under to 70 and older. Participants who register by March 31st are guaranteed an event t-shirt. Parking is available at a nearby garage at 99 Laidley St. Early packet pickup is held the day before the race at GoMart Ballpark during the Neon Night event, where attendees can find entertainment such as bounce houses and music.
