Diez Vista : event overview
Diez Vista takes place on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at White Pine Beach, Sasamat Lake in Belcarra Regional Park near Port Moody, BC. The event is a long-running trail ultra that has been held since 1997; 2026 is the 28th edition. Distances offered:

A maximum of 575 entries will be accepted. Most entries include a $10 donation to Coquitlam Search & Rescue and one tree planted locally. The event awards 2 ITRA points.
Course, aid and race logistics
The 50 km course uses west coast rainforest singletrack and gravel service roads, with roots, rocks, mud and some smoother trail. The route traverses the Diez Vistas ridge and sections around Buntzen Lake, and starts and finishes at Sasamat Lake. Total ascent and descent are each about 2000 m (about 6500 ft).
Aid stations are located at several points on course, including water-only AS1 and full stations at AS2, AS3, AS4, AS5 and AS6. AS3, AS4 and AS5 have cutoff times; runners who arrive after those cutoffs are recorded as DNF and offered a ride back. One labelled drop bag (shoebox size recommended) is accepted and will be delivered to AS3. Disposable cups are not provided on course. There is no mandatory gear list. Poles, pacers and pets are not permitted on course; leashed dogs are allowed only where crew is permitted, and not at the start-finish. Post-race food includes sushi and BBQ; participants are asked to provide their own cup, plate and utensils. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
