About the race
Diez Vista is a trail ultra held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, in Belcarra Regional Park near Port Moody, BC. Distances offered include:
- 50 km
- Kids Race (about 1 km)
The course uses west coast rainforest singletrack and gravel service roads featuring roots, rocks, mud and stretches of runnable trail. The 50 km route starts and finishes at Sasamat Lake (White Pine Beach), loops around Sasamat and Buntzen Lakes, and follows the Diez Vistas ridge. Runners climb and descend roughly 2000 metres (about 6500 feet) over the full loop.
Aid stations are placed around the course with a mix of water, sports drink, snacks and packaged items; Aid Station #1 is water only and Aid Station #2 is the first place to access calorie foods. One labelled drop bag is allowed for Aid Station #3 and must meet size and labelling rules; unclaimed bags will be donated or disposed of. Some aid stations have cutoffs and runners who miss listed cutoff times at Aid Station #3, #4, or #5 will be recorded as DNF and offered transport back.
The event offers two ITRA points; UTMB points are no longer available. Entry details include a $195 fee, a limit of 575 entries, and non refundable, non transferable policy. There is no mandatory gear list. The race acknowledges it takes place on the ancestral and unceded territories of local Nations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
