Diamond Mountain Triathlon : Lake Welch, Harriman State Park
The event on September 20, 2026 takes place at Lake Welch Beach, 800 Kanawauke Rd, Stony Point, NY, inside Harriman State Park. It includes adult and junior divisions for both triathlon and duathlon formats. Transition is located at the Lake Welch picnic area.
Distances offered:
- Adult Triathlon: 0.5 mi swim, 15 mi bike, 2 mi run
- Adult Duathlon: 2 mi run, 15 mi bike, 2 mi run
- Junior Triathlon: 0.5 mi swim, 15 mi bike, 2 mi run
- Junior Duathlon: 2 mi run, 15 mi bike, 2 mi run
Features on course and at the venue include police-controlled intersections, course signage, volunteer support, race photographers, and open restrooms. Free public parking and water at check-in are available. Wetsuits are permitted for the swim and body marking on the left arm and left leg is used for timing. Any safe, road-suitable bicycle may be used; no rental bikes are provided.
Awards and finish recognition are provided: finisher medals for all participants, Top-3 men and women awards for each race, and special prizes for overall adult triathlon winners. Junior athletes may race with adults for free and juniors may have a separate start. Draft results are posted shortly after the last finisher and official online results are normally available within 48 hours.
