DHES Blues & Shoes 5K and Family Run
The DHES Blues & Shoes event takes place on June 27, 2026 at Carpenter Park, 300 Carpenter Blvd, Carpentersville, IL. The event includes two distances listed below and is organized with packet pick-up available before the event as well as on race day at Dundee Highlands Elementary School.
- 5K run/walk
- 1K fun run/walk
All proceeds are donated to Dundee Highlands Elementary School. Shirts are included in the registration fee. Registration fees vary by date and category, with early-bird pricing and higher fees for later registration and race-day entry.
Race services and awards are specified for each distance. The 5K awards male and female 1st through 3rd places across age groups: 9 & under; 10–14; 15–19; 20–29; 30–39; 40–49; 50–59; 60–69; and 70 & over. All participants in the 1K receive a finisher’s ribbon.
Pre-race packet pick-up is scheduled on June 25 and June 26 at Dundee Highlands Elementary School, with additional packet pick-up and registration available on the event day.
