DHES Blues & Shoes 5K and Family Run
The event features a 5K Run/Walk and a 1K Fun Run/Walk at Carpenter Park, Carpenter Blvd, Carpentersville, IL, on Saturday, June 27, 2026. Packet pick up is available at Dundee Highlands Elementary School on the days before the event and on race day. Shirts are included in the registration fee. All proceeds will be donated to Dundee Highlands Elementary School.
Registration fees change over time with early bird pricing and higher prices closer to the event and on event day. The 5K includes male and female age group awards for first through third places in the following divisions: 9 and under; 10 to 14; 15 to 19; 20 to 29; 30 to 39; 40 to 49; 50 to 59; 60 to 69; and 70 and over. All 1K participants receive a finisher ribbon.
Pre race packet pick up occurs at Dundee Highlands Elementary School in the days leading up to the event, with additional packet pick up and registration offered on the event day.
