Dexter-Ann Arbor Run
Established in 1974, the Dexter-Ann Arbor Run is an annual event organized by the Ann Arbor Track Club. The races take place in the Huron River region, featuring courses that pass through shaded backwoods and along the scenic Huron River Drive.
The event offers several distances to accommodate a variety of participants:
- Half Marathon: A 13.1 mile point-to-point race starting in Dexter and finishing in historic Downtown Ann Arbor. The course is characterized by rolling terrain.
- 10K: A 6.2 mile out-and-back course that starts and finishes in downtown Ann Arbor, utilizing Huron River Drive.
- 5K: A 3.1 mile point-to-point run and walk that provides views of the Huron River and the downtown area.
- Kids Run: A dedicated event for younger participants.
The half marathon serves as a 2026 National Championship and the 10K as a State Championship. Participants receive a specific technical shirt, a finisher medal, and access to quality refreshments. The event provides shuttles for participants to reach the start lines of the point-to-point Half Marathon and 5K races.
Additional amenities include half marathon pacers, an event expo with early packet pickup, and online results with finisher certificates. The event also supports and raises funds for various area nonprofit organizations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
