Dewsbury 10K 2026 : event overview

The Dewsbury 10K takes place in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire on 1 February 2026. The organiser is Dewsbury Road Runners. The race is currently full with an entry limit of 3,000 and no places remaining. The course distance is 10 Kilometres. It is a road race with a flat, fast profile and an out-and-back layout. The event is marked as suitable for wheelchairs and the race licence is pending approval.

Entries, fees and race rules

Entry fees vary by affiliation and whether a technical running-shirt is included: affiliated with shirt £27.50, unaffiliated with shirt £29.50, affiliated no shirt £20.00, unaffiliated no shirt £22.00. Entry on the day is not available. Refunds are possible minus a refund processing fee if requested by email no later than 04/01/2026. Places may be transferred free to another runner up until 11/01/2026 via the Modify Entry Details link in the confirmation email. Affiliated runners must submit their UKA registration details on the entry form. Anyone running in another person’s place without notifying the organisers before the transfer deadline will be disqualified.

Course services and prizes

Pacers are available covering target times from 40 minutes to 75 minutes, and there will be musicians along the route. Distance markers and water stations are provided. Facilities include toilets and a baggage store; there are no changing facilities or showers. Race HQ is at Dewsbury Community Cares Group, Dewsbury Market, Crackenedge Lane, WF13 1QE. An Event Village adjacent to the Start/Finish area will provide toilets and a hot food and drinks stall. Prizes are offered for the first three male and first three female finishers, age-category winners from V35 to V75, and first club male and female teams (first three to finish). Bradford Road will be re-opened to traffic 90 minutes after the start and runners still on the course at that time must move to the pavement.
