Event Overview
The Devon Duathlon Autumn is held at Roadford Lake in Devon. The 2026 event includes a European Championship Standard Distance Duathlon Qualifier for the British Triathlon GB Age-Group Team. Athletes wishing to qualify must register their intent by 5 p.m. on the Friday before the race.
Distances
Two race formats are offered:
- Standard Duathlon: A 10 km run, a 46 km bike, and a 5 km run. This distance starts with a mass start.
- Sprint Duathlon: A 5 km run, a 20 km bike, and a 2.5 km run. This race starts ten minutes after the Standard distance.
Venue and Features
The event takes place at Roadford Lake, which offers very quiet roads and traffic-free trails for the course. There is ample space for transition areas and parking. The event is affiliated with British Triathlon and uses professional chip timing that provides transition splits.
All finishers receive a medal, and there are prizes for category winners. Amenities include an on-site cafe serving hot food and drinks, a commentator with music, and facilities that are noted as being good for spectators. Professional first aid and public liability insurance are in place. A camping and camper van site is available at the venue.
Participation
The Standard Duathlon is open to participants aged 18 and over. The Sprint Duathlon is open to those aged 15 and over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
