Devil's Gulch
Devil's Gulch is a trail running event at Mission Ridge Ski Area in Wenatchee, Washington, held July 11-12, 2026. The event offers three distances and is staged on trails through Ponderosa pine forest in the eastern Cascades with sustained climbing, steep technical sections, and extended ridge running that provides wide views of the Cascades including the Enchantment Plateau and regional volcanoes.
Distances
- Half marathon
- 50 Miler
- 100 Miler
Course routing begins with a forest climb from the resort base. The Half splits off for a descent to the Mission Creek Trail and returns to the finish. The 50 and 100 mile routes continue to Mission Peak, Tronson Ridge, and Mt Lillian; the 100 mile includes an additional technical loop near Blewett Pass and extended sections through Number 2 Canyon and Horse Lake Mountain. Terrain varies from rocky, steep, technical single track to smoother flowing trail; some creek crossings and meadow sections occur.
Aid stations are placed throughout the courses with volunteers, food, and hydration; some stations are water only for certain distances. Required gear and rules differ by distance: both 50 and 100 mile entrants must carry a headlamp and water carrying capacity and must have course GPS; the 100 mile also requires cold weather gear, extra batteries, and a filter flask. Pacers are allowed for the 100 mile and 100 mile entrants must have completed a prior 50 mile. The race is cupless and finishers receive handmade awards with a commemorative belt buckle for 100 mile finishers. Camping is available at the ski area for a fee.
