Detroit Riverfront Run - Race information
The Detroit Riverfront Run takes place on June 6, 2026, to support the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy. The event offers running and walking options and is described as a family-friendly wellness event. The route highlights segments of the Detroit Riverwalk and the Dequindre Cut.

All participants receive a commemorative T-shirt, a participation medal, and post-race snacks. Additional giveaways are noted as forthcoming. An optional Detroit Riverfront BOCO running hat is available for $25 during registration and will be distributed at packet pickup. The hat is made of lightweight, moisture-wicking material and includes a map on the inside brim. The 2026 run shirt is a special design by a Detroit-based artist.
Registration fees before April 27, 2026 are listed as $40 for the 5K and $50 for the 10K. From April 27 through May 31, 2026 fees increase to $45 for the 5K and $55 for the 10K.
Packet pickup is scheduled for June 4 from 12:00 to 18:00 at Eastern Market Shed 2, side off Russell Street, Eastern Market, 2934 Russell Street, Detroit MI 48207. Race day packet pickup will be at the start/finish area in Cullen Plaza, 1340 E. Atwater St., Detroit MI 48207. There is no bag check at the race start line.
Free race day parking is available at River East Garage, corner of Rivard and Franklin Streets, address 1000 Franklin St., Detroit MI 48207; cars must exit the lot by 12:00. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
