Detroit Free Press Marathon
The Detroit Free Press Marathon presented by MSUFCU is scheduled for Oct. 16 to 18, 2026 in Detroit. The event weekend comprises multiple races and community activities across three days, including a full Marathon, an International Half-Marathon, the Motor City Half-Marathon, a Marathon Relay, and dedicated divisions for adaptive athletes.
Weekend programming also includes shorter and youth events such as a 5K, a 1-Mile, the Kids Marathon presented by Priority Health, and the Meijer Little Detroit Dash, alongside the Health and Fitness Expo, Saturday Family Fun Day, and the Kia Conquered Afterparty. The Detroit Challenge Series offers combined entries under three named options: The Temptation (1-Mile plus 5K), The Wonder (1-Mile plus 5K plus International Half-Marathon plus Motor City Half-Marathon), and The Supreme (1-Mile plus 5K plus Marathon).
