Derwent Reservoir Trail Runs
The Derwent Reservoir Trail Runs take place at Derwent Waterside Park, located on the border of Durham and Northumberland. The event center is situated on the south side of this Northumbrian Water reservoir. The courses utilize a mix of terrain, with the majority of the running occurring on firm trails and footpaths, supplemented by sections across grass and through woodland.
Participants can choose between two different trail distances:
- 5 km Trail Run - open to participants aged 11 and over.
- 10 km Trail Run - open to participants aged 15 and over.
The event is held alongside sprint and standard duathlons. It is a canicross-friendly race, allowing one controlled dog per runner. Timing services are provided via live chip timing.
On-site parking is available for a fee, payable by either cash or card. All finishers receive a medal, event-branded merchandise, and a snack and drink upon completion. Participants also have the option to purchase an official event T-shirt during the registration process. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
