DeRidder Back Roads Half Marathon and Supporting Races
The event is a set of road races held in DeRidder, Louisiana, on December 19, 2026, with a start and finish at D Street near the BUSA Soccer Fields. The courses use rural back roads and pass fence lines, farm areas, railroad tracks, and several twists and turns through the local countryside.

Registered participants who sign up by December 9 are guaranteed a race T-shirt; registrations after that date may receive a shirt while supplies last. Awards recognize the top male and female finishers in each race. Water, Gatorade, and other finish-line refreshments are provided free to race participants.
Registration opens September 6, 2026 and closes December 10, 2026. Published fees are $50 for the half marathon (rising to $55 after December 9), $40 for the 10K, and $25 for the Fun Run; race day registration is allowed. Organizers note adjusted pricing reflects investments in race supplies and timing services.
Additional notes from organizers: roads will be secured only for a limited time and half marathon walkers are asked to maintain a brisk pace; children under 13 in the Fun Run must have an adult present at the finish line; pets are not allowed on the course; registered participants will receive route information by email before the race.
