Event Overview
The CASA West CenLa 5K Color Run is a charity event supporting CASA of West CenLA in Beauregard and Vernon parishes. It coincides with the start of Child Abuse Awareness Month.
Event Details
The event offers a single 5K distance. Participants can run, walk, or stroll the fully paved, well-marked, and measured route. It is not a chip-timed event, but timing will be available. The race awards a First Place Male, First Place Female, First Place Over 60, and First Place Child under 12 years old. All registered participants receive a participation medal.

The event takes place on Saturday, March 21, 2026, in DeRidder, Louisiana. The start location is behind 1st Street School on Bon Ami Street. Online registration ends on March 20, 2026, at 12:00 AM CDT. Late registration is available in-person on the event day for $30 cash only. A note on t-shirts states that registrations received after March 11th are not guaranteed a preferred shirt size, though extra sizes may be available on the event day while supplies last.
