Dereham sprint triathlon
The Dereham sprint triathlon is scheduled for 02 May 2027 at Dereham Leisure Centre in Norfolk, NR19 1DF. The event runs alongside a Health and Wellbeing Fair and uses the leisure centre facilities, which include parking, changing rooms, showers, and accessible toilets and parking.
The race format uses a pool swim and road sections for cycling and running. A dedicated Athlete Safety Zone is provided to allow athletes to rejoin the bike course and pass traffic lights without adding time to their race. Chip timing is used and every finisher receives a finisher’s medal. Awards include top three Open and Female overall placings, 1st to 3rd in each age group, and novice category awards for the top three Open and Female novice finishers. Entry is limited to a maximum of 300 athletes.
Participants must be aged 16 or over on the day unless otherwise stated. Safety and equipment rules require an approved cycle helmet and a roadworthy bicycle. Wetsuit use will follow organiser guidance or British Triathlon rules and is not permitted for the pool swim. Photo ID is required at registration. Medical support will be on site and participants compete at their own risk.
