The 10-mile course is officially measured under a Certificate of Course Accuracy (17/095) and is held under England Athletics Rules of Competition with permit number 30812.

Logistics and Facilities

Race headquarters and number collection are at Neatherd High School, opening from 07:45. Parking is available at the school. There is no bag drop facility; participants must carry their belongings during the race. Toilets are available on-site, but there are no showers. Post-race refreshments include tea and coffee served by club members, with cakes sold for charity.

Rules and Regulations

Participants must be at least 17 years old on race day. The use of any headphones, including bone-conducting types, is prohibited and can lead to disqualification. Running with buggies or dogs is not allowed. Medical support is provided by VTS Medical Event Services.

Entry and Prizes

Entry fees are £22.00 for affiliated runners and £24.00 for unaffiliated runners. Entries are non-refundable and cannot be deferred, but transfers to another runner are possible until midnight on 16 August 2026. All finishers receive a medal. Trophies are awarded to overall male and female winners and to the first-place finishers in multiple age categories (Senior, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+). Overall prize winners are not eligible for age group awards. A £50 bonus is offered for breaking the course records (52:22 for men, set in 2010; 59:11 for women, set in 2022).
