Derbyshire Dales Trail Run
The Derbyshire Dales Trail Run is a trail running event in the Peak District based at Bakewell Showground. It offers a choice of three measured off road distances and routes that make use of local trails and countryside.

- 9.1k Trail Run
Routes begin on the Monsal Trail and run alongside the River Derwent, with views that include Chatsworth House and the village of Edensor. The courses wind through rolling countryside and woodland, include a notable descent followed by a short climb into Manners Wood, and finish back at the event centre. Route profiles list elevation gains of about 400 m for the longest course, 306 m for the medium course, and 166 m for the shortest course.
The event is chip timed and provides a metal finisher medal, a finisher goodie and drink, a personalised certificate, on course refreshments and water stations. First aid cover and marshals are present on course. The organisers operate a plastic free policy and request runners use a reusable cup or bottle at water stations. Courses are signed with pink arrows and pink tape, and hazards or road junctions are marked with caution signs. Spectators are welcome at the event.
