Derbyshire Dales Trail Run : Bakewell, Peak District
The Derbyshire Dales Trail Run is a set of three chip timed trail races held at Bakewell Showground in the Peak District National Park. Routes start on the Monsal Trail and follow the River Derwent, with views of Chatsworth House and sections through rolling countryside and the village of Edensor. The course includes a descent and a short climb into Manners Wood before the finish.
Distances offered:
- 21.5k Half Marathon, 400 m elevation gain
- 15k Trail Run, 306 m elevation gain
- 9.1k Trail Run, 166 m elevation gain
Entries include a high quality finisher medal, a finisher goodie and drink, a personalised certificate, chip timing, on-course refreshments and first aid cover. The event provides water stations and course marshals; signage is by pink arrows and pink tape and hazards or road junctions are marked with caution signs. The organiser operates a plastic free approach so participants are asked to bring a reusable cup or bottle.
Spectators are welcome. Registration details note that bib numbers are collected on arrival and a QR code is required for collection. The event supports Combat Stress as its charity of the year for 2026. No dogs are allowed on the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
