Event overview

The Derbyshire Dales Trail Run takes place on Sunday 13th September 2026 at Bakewell Showground, Bakewell (DE45 1AH). The event is held on trails in the Peak District and begins on the Monsal Trail. The route runs alongside the River Derwent and passes near Chatsworth House and the village of Edensor. The course includes a descent followed by a short climb into Manners Wood. Spectators are welcome. Dogs are not allowed.

GPX files are provided for each route. Course signage uses pink arrows and pink tape; hazards and road junctions are marked with caution signs. First aid support is located at on-course aid stations and at the event centre. Water stations are provided and the event operates a plastic-free policy, so participants are asked to bring a reusable cup or bottle. Entry includes a bib number, chip timing, finisher medal, finisher goodies, personalised certificate, drinks, and marshals.
