DEO Clinic 5k Run/Walk
This is a fundraising running event that benefits the DEO Clinic, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has provided free healthcare to uninsured adults from Whitfield and Murray Counties for 20 years. The event offers a timed 5K race with age-category awards and an untimed 1 mile fun run/walk.
The 5K follows the paved trail around Haig Mill Lake as a single lap of 3.1 miles. The course includes some rolling hills in the second mile and two short gravel sections over the north and south dam. The 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk takes place on paved areas and is not timed.
Distances:
- 5K: Timed race, one lap (3.1 miles), rolling hills in the second mile.
- 1 Mile: Untimed fun run/walk on paved areas.
