Demi-Marathon Lachine
The event takes place along the Lieu historique national du Canal‑de‑Lachine on a loop course that begins on Boulevard St‑Joseph and returns along the multiuse path passing the parks Noël‑Spinelli, Saint‑Louis, Fort‑Rolland, Stoney Point and Summerlea. Start and finish are adjacent and open onto a sponsor area that included live music, a children’s inflatable, tastings and exhibitor tents at the 2025 edition.
Distances offered include a certified half marathon and shorter races. The course measurements are certified by Athletics Canada for the 5K, 10K and 21.0975K distances (certification 2024). Water stations follow Athletics Québec criteria with the first at 3 km, then one approximately every 5 km and one at the finish for a total of six stations. A downloadable runner passport is available and must be read before the race.
Registration details for the 2025 edition note an opening on 15 February 2025 and an indicative closure in September 2025; places are limited. The event has a strict no refund policy; an optional refund protection service may be purchased at registration for an extra fee and covers specific personal reasons but not event cancellation. Changes of distance, transfers and deferrals are possible subject to availability and fees. The half marathon has a 3 hour time limit and requires participants to be 18 years or older.
