Demi Marathon Lachine practical information
The Demi Marathon Lachine takes place along the Lachine Canal on the Lachine Canal National Historic Site. The main course is a loop that starts on Boulevard St Joseph and returns along the multiuse path passing Noël Spinelli Park, Saint Louis Park, Fort Rolland Park, Stoney Point and Summerlea. Start and finish lines are adjacent and provide access to the sponsor zone where music, a children s inflatable, tastings and exhibitor tents were planned for the 2025 edition.

Registration is limited. Registration opened on 15 February 2025 and the stated closing date is September 2025; the closing date may be earlier if an event sells out. Distance changes are possible subject to availability with a 30 USD fee, transfers carry a 30 USD fee, and deferrals to the next year are possible for a 20 USD fee. The time limit to complete the 21.1 km is three hours. Strollers are allowed only on the 10 km, 5 km, 2 km and 1 km distances. Registrations are non refundable.
Included with registration are an official T shirt, a participation medal, a snack and refreshment at the finish, and access to the sponsor zone. Prizes are awarded to top finishers in the stated categories. Courses are certified by Athletics Canada with certifications for 5 km QC 2024 029 BDC, 10 km QC 2024 028 BDC and 21.0975 km QC 2024 027 BDC. The course provides six water stations in total, with the first at 3 km, then one approximately every 5 km and one at the finish. An optional entry refund service is available for an additional 30 USD and covers specified personal reasons under the service terms.
